Dr. James O Wright

Dr. Wright is a former Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Environmental Health and Safety for the University of Dallas Texas (UT Dallas) and a former Director of Safety and Health, Human Resources for John Deere’s Worldwide Agricultural Division.  He is a Certified Safety Professional and an OSHA Authorized General Industry Trainer. He has more than 30 years of experience teaching OSHA standards in tier 1, tier 2, and Train-the-Trainer capacities. His education, among other programs, includes a Ph.D. from ISU in Industrial Education and Technology focusing on Occupational Safety and M.S.E. in Adult Education/Training and Development, from the School of Education at Drake University. Dr. Wright has trained thousands of workers in his career. During his tenure as AVP at the UT Dallas, Dr. Wright was in charge of handling the UT Dallas health and safety operations and strategic response to the 2016 Ebola outbreak.
